This installation is inspired by the walls of Vilnius' Old Town—visible and tangible layers of time. In the continuous flow of time, walls either survive, endure, or make way for new ones. Constant change is the paradox of the city. Cracked walls are a beauty we often overlook. Each crack is unique in its shape and depth, created by various external factors. It almost seems as if the city itself is fracturing, as the ground shifts, foundations settle, and the elements, historical events, or simply time take their toll. The artwork invites us to view Vilnius differently and to accept it as it is—perfectly imperfect and constantly evolving. The cracks, like scars earned through time and long existence, now become paintings, works of art, and tell their stories on the wall of the MO Museum.
